Raymond E. Lindsey

Raymond Elmer Lindsey, age 72 of Maryville, TN passed away at 3:25am Saturday, November 14, 2015. Raymond left this world at home in the arms of his loving family. He met his end the same as he lived his life, with a smile on his face, passing peacefully in his sleep. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Harriet Lindsey; brother, Bud Lindsey; and sister, Johnnie Lowe. Raymond was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Raymond was an avid fisherman and hunter. Raymond is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Brenda Lindsey; son and daughter-in-law, Fred and Rhonda Lindsey; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Danny Covington Sr.; daughter Cherae Kirkland; grandchildren, Danny Covington, Brandi McCowan, Lindsey Sinclair, Logan Lindsey, Matthew Kirkland; great grandchildren, Keith Covington, Kelsi Covington, Cayley McCowan, Cayden McCowan, Alexus Sinclair, Alissa Sinclair; sister Jeania Finger, and special friend, Jerry Fann. The funeral service will be at 7:00pm on Monday, November 16, 2015 in Smith’s Trinity Chapel with the Rev. Bob Dalton officiating. The entombment will be at 3:00pm Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memorial and Honor Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
