Ralph E. Wilhoite

Ralph Edward Wilhoite, age 77, born August 28, 1934 in Knoxville, Tennessee passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on December 4, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. Preceded in death by: Wife, Charlotte Kay Wilhoite; Son, Gary Lee Wilhoite; Parents, Hugh & Edna Wilhoite; Brothers, Mack Wilhoite and Perry Wilhoite; Sister, Mary Evelyn Foxx. He is survived by: Son, R. Edward Wilhoite, Jr.; Grandchildren, Brandon Lee Wilhoite, Chad Edward Wilhoite, and Dustin Lane Wilhoite; Great-Grandson, Gary Lee Wilhoite; Former Wife, Edith Wilhoite; Brothers, Lynn Wilhoite & wife Sandy, Victor Wilhoite & wife Faye, David Wilhoite & wife Laura; Sisters, Anna Russell & husband Rex, Norma Solis & husband Tony, Sarah Russell & husband Gary, Nancy Garner & husband Kyle. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. George Macht officiating. Interment will follow at Piney Level Baptist Church Cemetery.
