Ralph Edward Patterson, age 67, of Maryville went home to be with the Lord Saturday, March 19, 2016. He proudly served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War. He was an avid collector of antique Fords and a charter member of the Classic Ford Association. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife and spending time with and loving on his four grandchildren. He was an active member of Oak View Baptist Church since 1984 where he was fond of his Sunday School class and teacher, Charlie Eldridge. Preceded in death by: Parents, Ralph & Lela Patterson; Brother, Jimmy Patterson; Special Friend, Willie Ruth Atchley. Survived by: Wife of 47 years, Christine Patterson; Daughter & Son-in-law, Johnny & Karen Ray; Son and Daughter-in-law, Michael & Julie Patterson; Grandchildren, Morgan Ray, Kylie Patterson, Steven Ray, and Kaybrie Patterson; Brother & Sister-in law, Robert & Darlene Patterson; Sister & Brother-in-law, Betty & Jerry Hurst; Sister-in-law, Brenda Patterson; Brother-in-law and Sister-in-law, Sankie & Elaine Baldwin; Brother-in-law, Gary Presley; and special family member Harold & Shirley Breeden. Family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 PM, Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Smith Trinity Chapel. A celebration of Ralph’s life will follow at 3:00 PM. Entombment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
