Polly W. Haney

Polly W. Haney, age 88, of Maryville, died Sunday, December 14, 2008 at Hillcrest West Healthcare Facility of Knoxville; Mrs. Haney was a member of Cloverhill Presbyterian Church and retired from Sears Roebuck Co. with 37 years of service. She was a member of the Mary Blount Order of the Eastern Star # 133 and was a Superstar Volunteer with Blount Memorial Hospital for several years. She is preceded in death by her parents, J.K. Ward and Lena Bradley Ward; Husbands, Ralph Edward Dyer and John Paul Haney; sisters, Ada Ward Wolfenbarger, Irene Ward Lucas, and Naomi Ward Burchfield; and brother, James Charles Ward; She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Ralph E. and Vickie Lent Dyer and James E. and Cooky Johnson Dyer; step-daughter, Jean Haney Martin of Stone Mountain, GA; grandchildren and their spouses, Denise and Lance Evans, Kim Mikels, Missy and James Cooper, Richard Dyer and Mechalley Dyer, Jamie and Dwayne Wright, Susan and Stephan Zerambo, Shali & Chris Purise; great-grandchildren, Ember Evans and Chapman Evans, Kevin Bradley, Cortney Paige Dyer, Tony Zerambo, Mary Mikels, Junior Mikels, Nick & C.J. & Christian Pierce, Michael Bright, Zachary and Zoey Cooper, McKaylee and Jessica Wright, and Landy Purvis. Special thanks to Polly's caregiver Uretha Michaels. Funeral Services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 18, 2008 in the Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Tom Gilliland officiating. The family and friends will assemble at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 19, 2008 at Grandview Mausoleum Chapel for the Entombment service.
