Phillip Leon Marshall, age 90, passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones on March 13, 2023 after a life well lived. Phillip spent most of his life living and working in Louisville, TN. He attended Louisville Elementary, Friendsville High, and Hiwassee College. He served in the U.S. Army stationed with the 502nd Parachute Infantry Regiment before being Honorably Discharged. After a career with Marshall-Robinson Builders, Phillip became the building inspector for the Town of Louisville. He loved building birdhouses, playing rook, traveling the world, enjoying a Little Debbie Cake, watching sports, spending time with family and the Louisville Senior Lunch Bunch (Phillip’s Kids). Phillip pastored many churches and contributed to many missions. He attended Cornerstone Fellowship Church. Preceded in death by: parents, Joe and Ruth Marshall; wife of 48 years, Bobbie Robinson Marshall; daughter, Rebecca “Becky” Settlemire; brother, John (Jane) Marshall; sister, Betty (Raymond) Lewis; brothers-in-law, Herman Bell, Tom McSpadden, Kenneth Rose, Ray Johnson; sister-in-law, Louise Johnson. Survived by: daughter, Lisa (Jeff) Ridenour; son-in-law, Doug Settlemire; grandchildren, Megan (Joey) Scruggs, Jonathan Settlemire, Collin and Joseph Ridenour; great-grandchildren, Weston Denny and Amelia Scruggs; sisters, Anna Ruth McSpadden and Bobbie Bell; beloved grand pups and grand cats. Best friend and in-laws, Gordon (Martha) Robinson and Pat Rose; many loved nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral Service will be at 6:00 PM Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Pastor Christi Prater officiating. Family will receive friends immediately following the Funeral Service. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 AM for Interment Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Louisville Cemetery.
