Pearlean Orr Carringer, 77, went home to be with the Lord on March 31, 2010, at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Carringer was born October 17, 1932 in Robbinsville, NC, to Pearlie and Norma Orr. She graduated from high school as Valedictorian and completed her studies at Knoxville Business College. She married husband Herb Carringer on May 21, 1955 and the couple moved to Maryville. In 1987, she retired from BellSouth, after a fulfilling 25 years of service. Mrs. Carringer was a member of the East Maryville Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening, traveling, reading, and was a crossword puzzle extraordinaire. Her family wrote: Pearlean was a faithful servant, loving wife, mother, and doting grandmother. She will be missed greatly by her family and everyone who knew her. Mrs. Carringer is survived by her husband Herb, son Tim Carringer& fiancé Renee Higgins; daughter, Angie Johnson & son-in-law, Robert Johnson; five grandchildren (Brandon, Wes, Bailey, Lizzie, and Nathan) and two great-grandchildren (Aeowin and Peyton). Family and friends will assemble for graveside service and interment at 3 p.m., Monday, April 5, 2010 at East Maryville Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will follow from 5 to 7 p.m. at the church. A Celebration of Life service will be at 7:00 p.m., Monday, April 5th at East Maryville Baptist Church with Senior Pastor Keith Johnson officiating.
