Pauline "Polly" Berggren

Pauline (Polly) Smith Berggren age 89 of Maryville passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at UT Medical Center. She was a member of Friendsville Friends Meeting House and Kappa Omicron NU. Polly was a teacher as Friendsville Academy and retired from First Tennessee Bank. She was a Veteran of the United States Coast Guard. Polly was a member for 22 years of the Transformers Singing Group. She was a beloved mother and friend. Preceded in death by: Husband of 49 years, Frederick Ernest Berggren; Son, Corey D. Berggren; Brothers, Earl Smith and Harry Smith. Survivors include: Son, Kevin Berggren of Maryville; Brother, Glen E. Smith of Florida. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Barbara Grigsby officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
