Paula Diane Swafford

Swafford, Paula "Diane" age 63 of Maryville passed away Friday, January 4, 2008 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of St. John United Methodist Church since 1955. Diane was a sweet, kind, loving and much beloved daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, great aunt and friend to a large and very diverse and yet very close family. She was always near to God and to His heart, just as she was to her family's. She often said that she couldn't wait to see Jesus. Evidently, He couldn't wait to see her either and they are finally together, happy and whole. She is survived by her parents, Carlos Lee & Marjorie (Hayes) Swafford of Maryville; brothers & sisters, Judy Hutchinson & husband, Howard of Maryville, Rick Swafford & wife, Jenny of Lenoir City, Kathy Marsh & husband, Steve of Alcoa; nieces & nephews, Danny Hutchinson and wife Susan, Rodney Hutchinson & wife Belinda, Kristi Hood & husband John, Emily Yancey & husband Will, Erin Hill & husband Nathan, Stephanie Marsh, Micah Marsh & wife Ashley, Jared Marsh & wife Tabitha; several great nieces & nephews; very special friends & caregivers, Debbie McKeel & Lola Black. Funeral service 7:00 p.m. Monday, January 7, 2008, Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Wayne Friday officiating. The family & friends will assemble 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at Grandview Mausoleum for the entombment. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 7:00 p.m. Monday, at Smith Mortuary, 865-983-1000.
