Paul A. Webb

Paul Allen Webb, 75, of Townsend, Tennessee passed away Thursday, December 5th, 2024.

Mr. Webb was born December 14, 1948 in Blount County to the late Charles Edgar Webb and Mandy Lee “Vergie” Stinnett Webb. He was a 1968 graduate of Townsend High School where he played football and basketball. Paul was selected as Mr. Blount County in 1967. He graduated East Tennessee State University in 1975 where he earned a BS in education and fine arts. Prior to attending ETSU, he entered the US Army where he served in the 82nd Airborne Division. He worked as an art teacher in Virginia. After retirement, Mr. Webb worked part- time for River Rat in Townsend. He enjoyed and excelled at art and loved spending time with family and friends. 

In addition to his parents, Mr. Webb was preceded in death by his siblings Beatrice Husky, Bernice Wilson, Edgar Webb, Geneva Thacker, and James “Jimmy” Webb. Survivors include: daughter, Allison Webb Bennett; grandchildren, Jordan Hill, Madison “Matt” Bennett, and Josh Bennett; step-son, Chris Webb; sister, Ethel Cutshaw; and special friends, Judy and Melvin Hembree.

Services are scheduled for Friday Dec. 13, 2024 at Bethel Baptist Church in Townsend. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 2:30 pm. Funeral service will follow with Ronnie Hepperly officiating.
