Paul Douglas Sutton

Paul Douglas Sutton, age 76 of Maryville, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2023 at the family home. Paul was a member of 6 Mile Baptist Church and currently attending Unity Christian Church. He served in the United States Army for 4 years and spent a lot of his time in Korea. Paul worked at Alcoa Aluminum Company for 30 years in the Pot Rooms and then went to the truck shop as a heavy duty diesel mechanic. When he retired, he moved to Florida to join his wife and son and while there he worked at Home Depot. Preceded in death by parents, William Paul and Gladys Sutton; sons, William Burl Sutton, Paul Douglas Sutton II; daughter, Kim Denise Sutton; sisters, Susie and Theresa; a beloved pet and side kick for many years, Murphy, whom he dearly loved. Survived by wife of 54 years, Fern McMurray Sutton; brothers, Donnie (Joyce) Sutton, Johnny Sutton, Gary Sutton, Rex Sutton; sisters, Lucille Hembree, Faye (Clayton) Ferguson, Barbara Canant, Jane (Clayton) Sipe; daughter-in-law, Heather Mays Kent; grandchildren, Zachary (Zach) Sutton (Haley Sutton), Gabby Retamoza (Tim Retamoza); great-grandchildren, Hudson REtamoza and Stella Grace Sutton; many nieces and nephews.
