Patricia Ann Smith

Patricia Ann Jones Smith, age 63, of Maryville went to eternal peace on September 27, 2018. She was from Swansea, MA and moved to Florida in the mid 1970’s, to pursue a career in Law Enforcement with the Deerfield Beach Police Department and later the Broward County Sheriff’s office. She retired in 1998 as a Detective Sergeant after 20 years of exemplary service. She went on to pursue a nursing career and then to become a nurse practitioner in 2013. Patricia was a loving wife to her husband of 35 years and was a hardworking, loyal, and compassionate person in all her endeavors. She has saved many lives in her careers. She is survived by her husband, Howard R. Smith; uncle, Thomas F. Travis of Somerset, Ma; step-daughter, Lori M. Schmidt of Maryville, TN. Family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 AM, Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 AM.
