Patricia Sue Collier

Patricia Sue Beale Collier, age 81 of Maryville, TN, passed away peacefully at home on July 27, 2024. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, John Everett Beale and Eleanor Eckle Beale of Mt. Sterling, OH, and loving husband, John Rust Collier, Jr. of Maryville, TN. She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Stratton (Jondale) of Seymour, TN; granddaughter, Sydney Stratton of Seymour, TN; sister, Carolyn Shotsky of Washington Court House, OH and brother, Rev. Edwin Beale (Elizabeth) of Bellefontaine, OH; as well as several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Patricia was a graduate of Ohio State University, majoring in Business Education. Through the years she taught Office Occupations at the State Area Vocational Technical School in McMinnville, TN. She assisted her family with business operations and marketing for Pleasant Cove Nursery. Patricia spent most of her life volunteering to help others reach their potential when she wasn't spending time with her family. She administered the Martin Gribble Fund for the First United Methodist Church in McMinnville, TN. Patricia assisted graduating high school students in furthering their education at the local high school and in the community, donating her time to counsel anyone in need. She was a member of First United Methodist Church Maryville. She will be greatly missed by her family and community. Family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM, Sunday, August 4, 2024 at First United Methodist Church Maryville with the funeral to follow.
