Pamela Ann Walker Bazaman of Maryville, age 59, passed peacefully on October 1, 2011 at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas following a courageous battle with a rare leukemia. Born on August 7, 1952 in Greenville, SC, Pamela is preceded in death by her father, Wilbert C. Walker. A former member of Everett Hills Baptist Church, she professed her faith in Jesus Christ at the age of 8. Pamela is survived by her devoted husband, Harvey Bazaman; mother, Violet Walker of Maryville; daughter, Christal (Johnny) Vanderpool of Nashville; grandchildren, Zachary & Jillian Gulledge of Nashville; sister, Patsy (Lanny) Babb; brother, Marvin (Kathy) Walker both of Maryville; brother-in-law, Brian Bazaman of Galveston, TX; numerous nieces and nephews in Maryville and Galveston, as well as her beloved cats, Harley and Pishadoo. Formally a resident of Galveston, Texas, Pamela retired from University of Texas Medical Branch and Ball High where she was an invaluable secretary. In retirement she enjoyed spending time with her loving family and preparing their new home for her husband upon his retirement. To those that knew her, Pamela was humble, compassionate, and had the kindest soul of anyone. She will always be remembered as a loving wife and mother, devoted daughter, sister, and an amazing “Nana�?. Family and friends will assemble for graveside service and interment at 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 6, 2011 at Grandview Cemetery with Chaplain Jerry Scott officiating.
