Orvin Anderson age 89 of Alcoa passed away Sunday, November 27, 2011 at Tennova Hospice. He was a member of Middlesettlements United Methodist Church. Orvin retired from Alcoa Aluminum and was a member of their 25 Year Club. He was a Veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II. Preceded in death by: Siblings, Bob, Arnold, and Bernice; Parents, Arthur and Sarah Anderson. Survivors include: Loving wife of 66 years, Billie Anderson; Sons, Dan Anderson of Alcoa and Dr. Steve Anderson & wife Sharon of Chattanooga; Grandchildren, Kacie Anderson, Angela Anderson, Rachel Anderson, Gavin Anderson, and Randy Anderson; 3 Great-Grandchildren; Brother, Dal Anderson of Louisville; Brother-in-law, Jimmy Patton of Fenton, MI; Sisters-in-law, Kaye & Kennedy & husband Charley of Vonore and Dorothy Miller & husband Bob of Alcoa and; many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. Funeral service will be at 8:00 PM, Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at Smith Chapel with Rev. George Macht & Rev. Ron Fisher officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 1, 2011 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for the interment.
