February 8, 1922 — January 11, 2012

Ollie Big O Houston Chambers, WW II Veteran, age 89, of Jacksonville, FL went to walk with God on Jan. 11, 2012, with family by his side. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Imogene, his daughters, Sarah (Mike), Sherrie (Dave) and Zena (Jack), 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. During his last few years Darren (Susan), his grandson, was his devoted care-giver. He is also survived by 3 sisters, Mabel, Beulah & Leola; and 1 brother Kenneth. Ollie was born in Cades Cove, TN on Feb. 8, 1922 and proudly served his country in the Army Air Force during World War II. Ollie and his family have lived in Jacksonville since 1960 and he owned Chambers Battery Sales for over 30 years. He was an avid golfer and a devoted Tennessee Volunteer fan. Papaw you will be dearly missed and always remembered in our hearts. A military service will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Grandview Mausoleum Chapel, 2304 Tuckaleechee Pike, Maryville, TN 37803 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the mausoleum chapel. In lieu of flowers the family requests you please make a donation to N. E.
