Norman Lee Hicks age 87 of Walland passed away Sunday, July 28, 2024 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. He was a deep-sea diver with the United States Navy and a member of the Air National Guard 134th ARG and 168th ARG. Norman was a helper, friend, prankster, man of prayer, fixer, hand holder, cryer, lover of Jesus and his church, musician, encourager, giver, pest (!), best husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great grandfather ever. He longed for heaven and to be reunited with his sweetheart and loving wife, Wanda Hicks. Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Carmen Hicks; daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Dana Keeble; grandchildren, Kelly (Keeble) and David Fear, Leah Keeble, Delaney Hicks, Sam Hicks; great-grandchildren, Noah Fear and Anna Fear. Brother, Steve Hicks “Preach”; sister, Phyllis Borden. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM, Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM with Pastor Steve Hicks officiating.
