Norman V. Free, age 80, of Louisville, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2009 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He retired from Vulcan Materials Company and served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Preceded in death by: Parents, Arlie & Zula (Dixon) Free; Brothers, Troy, Edgar and Stephen Free; Sister, Marie (Free) Lankford. Survivors include: Wife, Beatrice Free; Daughters, Teresa and Gloria Free; Son & Daughter-in-law, Trent & Mindy Free; Special Grandchildren, Alex and Katie Norton, Dylan and Cory Livesay, Charlie Norman Free; Brothers & Sisters-in-law, Ray & Barbara Free and Ann Free Staley; Sisters, Ruth (Free) Halk and Evelyn (Free) Walker; Special Cousins, Bob & Jo Lawson and Bea Chadkewicz; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; Special "family", Mike Hicks and Becky Free. Memorial service will be at 7:00 PM, Saturday, March 21, 2009 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Gary Simerly officiating.
