Norman Wayne Copeland, 82, resident of Muncie, passed away July 26, 2014 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. He was born in Maryville, Tennessee, February 10, 1932, the son of Jewell and Nellie Tefeteller Copeland. He retired from Westinghouse in Muncie in 1989 and was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He moved from Chicago and lived for many years in Tennessee before settling in Indiana. He was a member of IUE Local Union. Survivors include his wife of 58 years: Nora Lee (Cagle) of Muncie, 3 children: Linda Orcutt (Jim) of Englewood, FL, Carolyn Moses of Muncie and Steven Copeland of Muncie, 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 5 sisters: Jeanette Baker of Virginia, Margaret Cooper of North Carolina, Frances Yarnell (Frank) of Tennessee, Carolyn Lang and Patsy Reno of Maryville, TN. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association (www.alz.org). The Ballard family is honored to celebrate the life of Norman Copeland with family and friends. Family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 on Friday, August 1, 2014 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Graveside service and interment will follow at 3:00 pm at Grandview Cemetery with Rev.
