Norma Jean Wilson

August 8, 1942 — May 12, 2020

Norma Jean McDaniel Wilson, age 77 of Maryville, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2020 after a short battle with cancer. She was a member of Grandview Baptist Church for over 50 years. Norma, was a wonderful lady, wife, mother, nana, as well as a wonderful church mother and servant to her church family and community, and she will be deeply missed. And yet, we are rejoicing knowing that she is in the sweet presence of our Lord and Savior, surrounded by loved ones, and that in the final unending chapter of life, we will be reunited with her in Heaven, never to be separated again. Preceded in death by her parents, Howard “Pop” and Lucille McDaniel; grandson, Riley Reynolds. Survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Gordon Wilson; daughters, Kim Snoderly (Steve), Connie Huffman (John), Teddi Reynolds (Steve); grandchildren, Amy Cummings (Dan), Derek (Kati) Snoderly, Nicholas Reynolds, Kirby Reynolds, John Wilson Huffman; great-grandchildren, Caden, Emery and Blakely Cummings, Parker and Chandler Snoderly; sister, Joy Hall (Terry); great-aunt, Gladys McDaniel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grandview Baptist Church, 2208 Tuckaleechee Pike, Maryville, TN 37803. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Family and friends will assemble at 1:00 PM Thursday, May 14, 2020 for Graveside Service and Interment at Grandview Cemetery.
