Norma Amburn Jones

Norma Amburn Jones age 92 passed away October 5, 2014. She was a member of Birchfield Baptist Church and also attended Pine Grove Presbyterian Church. She retired from Alcoa Aluminum Company and was a longtime member of the 25 year club. She also was a Volunteer (Pink Lady) for many years at Blount Memorial Hospital. Preceded in death by: Parents, Minnie Clark, Robert Amburn; Husband, Charles C. Jones; Brothers, Virgil Amburn & Marvin Brewster; Stepfather, Earl Brewster. Survivors include: Daughters, Beverly Sheldon & husband Richard of Johnson City and Cheryl Swaney & husband Micheal (Mick) of Maryville; Grandchildren, Robbie Robinson, Clint Davis, Maddie & Grace Sheldon; Brother, Ronald Brewster of Strawplains and friend Donna Martin; Sisters, Virginia Reagan of Gatlinburg, Carolyn Jacobs and husband Roy of Greenback, and Edith Chambers & husband Jim of Maryville; many more friends and family members. Special thanks to longtime friends and caregivers, Ms. Ann Clinton and Donna Birchfield. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM, Thursday, October 9, 2014 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Tyson Matoy officiating. Family and friends will assemble for interment at 1:00 PM, Friday, October 10, 2014 at Pine Grove Cemetery in Greenback.
