Nora Lee Copeland

Nora Lee Copeland, 89, of Muncie passed away on Thursday, June 27th, 2024. She was born September 13th, 1934, in Maryville, Tennessee to the late Hobert and Minnie Cagle. Nora spent 19 years working at the Ball Brothers Corporation.  She loved to make jewelry.  Nora was well known for making good food.  She enjoyed making sure everyone was fed. Nora could cook anything.   Nora spent much time in her garden where she would fill the kitchen with fruits and vegetables that she had grown.  In her earlier years she would make quilts and loved canning vegetables. Nora adored her cat “Bitty”.  She was a member of Sound the Alarm Church. Nora is preceded in death by her parents, husband Norman Copeland, two brothers George Cagle and Shirley Fred Cagle, and one sister, Dorthy Presley. Nora is survived by 2 daughters, Linda Orcutt (Jim) and Carolyn Moses; one son, Steve Copeland; Three sisters, Lorene Corrie, Shirley Hendrick, Lena Giffin; One brother John Cagle; grandchildren, Brooks Lance (Todd), Shelsea Copeland (Josh), Hollie Copeland, Chris Orcutt (Kara), Michelle Geils; eight great grandchildren and special friend and neighbor Mark Andrews. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 PM on Wednesday, July 03, 2024 in the Smith Trinity Chapel with a Celebration of Nora’s life to follow at 2:00 PM with Steve Hinzman officiating. The interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery.  In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
