Nora Lorene Caughron

With great sadness, we announce the death of Nora Lorene Wright Caughron, age 85, of Alcoa. Lorene was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

She enjoyed cooking, singing in the church choir, decorating, golfing, and caring for her family. She retired from First American Bank after many years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Nancy Wright; sisters, Gaynell Sloan and Delight Everett; and brother, Gordon Wright.

Survived by her loving husband, John Caughron; children Mike (Vickie) Caughron, Kent (Kim) Caughron, Kim (Wes) Brewer; grandchildren Michael (Ashley) Caughron, Jonathan (Patsy) Caughron, Lauren (Aaron) Petticord, Jordan (Jade) Caughron, Logan (Taya) Laveaux; great-grandchildren Landyn, Sunny, Colton, Ansley, Max, Oliver, Jolie and John-Luke Thomas; step-great grandchildren Ashlyn, Kylan, Laila, Alaina, Harper, and Norah; Sister-in-law, Janice Wright; Several nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to the staff at Clover Hill Assisted Living Facility, the staff of Prism Health 4th Floor Pulmonary Department, Dr. Green, and Pam Hart, former caregiver.

Friends may drop by the funeral home and sign the register book at their convenience. Family and friends will assemble for a graveside service and interment on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Grandview Cemetery Pavilion with Pastor Doug Hayes officiating.
