Nina Strickland Jackson

Nina S. Jackson age 90 of Maryville passed away Friday, July 15, 2016 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Everett Hills Baptist Church. Nina enjoyed working in the flower garden, puzzles, reading and cross stitch. Preceded in death by: Daughter, Patricia Popwell; Husbands, Frank Denman, Bill Popwell, and Cecil Jackson; Mother, Audrey Strickland; Father, Lloyd Strickland; Sisters, LuEarl Strickland, Sudie Deavours, Betty Parson, and Jannalene McCullough; Brothers, Raymond Strickland and Jimmy Strickland. Survivors include: Children, Wallace Denman & wife Linda, Michael Denman, Nancye Peek, and Brenda Tallent & husband Jimmy; Brothers & Sisters, Sarah Hardigree, Gerald Strickland, Noma Short, Leon Strickland, and Dalton Strickland; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM, Monday, July 18, 2016 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Doug Hayes officiating.
