Nell Marie "Ninny" Garland

Nell Marie “Ninny” Garland, age 79 of Maryville, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday, September 13, 2019 at the family home. Ninny truly loved and supported her church Maple Grove Baptist Church of which she was a charter member. She was a gifted gardener and a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Lyda Cummings; husband, Samuel Garland; brothers and sister, Charles Eugene Cummings, Faye Adams, and Jack Cummings. Survivors include her son, Sam Garland of Louisville; daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy and Bobby Hearon and Pam and John Nichols of Maryville; grandchildren and their spouses, Matthew and Stephanie Hearon and Jonathan and Jennifer Nichols; great-grandchildren, Milly, Penny, Izzy, and Jack Nichols, and Samuel and Lydia Hearon; all of Maryville; sister, Betty Baker of Maryville. The family and friends will assemble at 10:00am on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at Maple Grove Baptist Church, 3201 Carpenters Campground Rd., Maryville, TN 37803 for the Graveside Service and a Celebration of Ninny’s Life.
