Nannie Ravenell Snowden

Nannie Ravenell (Betty) Wisecarver Snowden, age 94, of Rockford passed away Friday, November 30, 2012 at Shannondale of Maryville. She was a dedicated member of Stock Creek Baptist Church. She was originally from Greene County and moved to Blount County in 1937. She enjoyed many outdoor activities including fishing with her husband on Tellico River and hiking. She also loved quilting and sewing. Preceded in death by: Husband of 74 years, George Hunley Snowden; Parents, Martin and Della Wisecarver; brothers, Davis, Jim, Frank (Oot) and Roy; sisters, Madge, Mabel, Willie (Bill), and Peg. Survivors include: Sons & Daughters-in-law, Lynn & Janice Snowden and Davis & Pat Snowden; Grandchildren, Stacy Schmidt, Gina Owen, Susan Stout, Beth Baker, and Jim Snowden; 12 Great-Grandchildren; 2 Great-Great-Grandsons; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be on Sunday, December 2, 2012 at 3:00 PM in the Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Gene Wood officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 AM, Monday, December 3, 2012 at Stock Creek Baptist Church Cemetery for the interment.
