Nancy Jo Gillespie

Nancy Morris Gillespie passed away Sunday November 3, 2013 following a lingering illness. She was born to Nancy Johnston Morris and Joseph Hardin Morris on June 7, 1942. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Hardin Morris and son, James Scott Gillespie. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Dr. James Gillespie; son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Misty Gillespie; grandson, Shane Gillespie; mother, Nancy Johnston Morris; sisters and brothers-in-law, Julia and Sonny Kyle of Maryville and Sally and Todd Lauterio of Greenville, SC; sisters-in-law, Betsy Taub of Maryville and Mary Norkus of New York; special friends, Nancy Rudd and Stephen Rachels. Nancy's passions were reading and staying up-to-date on current affairs but her greatest pleasure was helping friends and family in need. In the past she was a member of the Womens Dental Association and was a partner in a catering business. Nancy will be remembered and missed for her quick wit and sense of humor. Family will receive friends 5:00 until 7:00 PM, Tuesday, November 5 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Family and friends will assemble for graveside service and interment at11:00 AM, Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at Grandview Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Scott officiating.
