N. Marie Haddox

N. Marie (Gallahar) Smith Haddox age 89 of Alcoa, went to be with her Lord & Savior in heaven on Saturday, October 4, 2008 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a long-time member of Alcoa First Baptist Church, a member of The Believers Group, and a longtime Sunday School Teacher. Preceded in death by: Parents, Robert & Maybelle Gallahar; 1st Husband, A.E. (Smitty) Smith; 2nd Husband, John Haddox; Sisters, Anna Coulter, Thelma Haddox, Evelyn Prater, Maxine Davis; Brother, Robert Gallahar, Jr.. Survivors include: Son & Daughter-in-law, Michael E. & Connie Smith of Glen Allan, VA; Daughter & Son-in-law, Jo Ann & David Tallman of Hattiesburg, MS; Step-daughters, Sue Hill & husband Brad and Linda Chapman all of Evansville, IN; Sister-in-law, Lois Bell of Maryville; Sister-in-law, Rita Gallahar of Sumter, SC; Grandchildren, Michael & Lauren Smith & William & Phillip Tallman; Sisters, Marion Hammontree & husband Billy of Maryville, Helen Kirby of Nashville; Brother, Ronald Gallahar & wife Wanda of Maryville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 7:30 PM, Monday, October 6, 2008 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. H.H. Linginfelter officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for the interment.
