Myrna Sedgwick

November 18, 1930 — February 14, 2007

Sedgwick, Myrna Ross Huggins age 76 of Maryville, died February 14, 2007 at Blount Memorial Transitional Center. She was a retired travel agent who began her career in the early years at Delta Airlines in cities such as Augusta, GA and Tampa, FL. Her travels took her to many places including Alaska, Jamaica, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Australia, Rome, Greece, and Amsterdam. Although her trips allowed her to see many marvelous sights, she was happiest in the midst of her close family. She is preceded in death by: husband, William Jack Sedgwick, originally from Charleston, SC; parents, Hoffman & Willa Poston Huggins; brother, Carrol "Bubba" Huggins; sister-in-law, Lucille Jordan Huggins; brother-in-law, Ralph "Lee" Sedgwick all of Charleston; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Ann Marie & Vernard Davis of Maryville. Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law, William Martin "Marty" & Kellie Sedgwick; daughter and son-in-law, Melodie & Andy Walker; granddaughters, Samantha Muse, Brianna Walker, Sierra Walker all of Maryville, TN; brothers and sisters-in-law, Wayne & Dot Huggins, Kerry & Dorothy Huggins, Marilyn & Mike Musgrove; sister-in-law, Dottie Sedgwick all of Charleston; sister and brother-in-law, Cile & Bryant Balkcum of Atlanta, GA; many special cousins, nieces and nephews, and very special friends. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 3:00 PM, on Saturday, February 17, 2007 with funeral service to follow in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with family friend, Rev. Chris Boruff officiating. A separate receiving of friends will be at Morning View Assisted Living on Sunday, February 18, 2007 at 2:00 PM for the residents and staff of the facility.
