MyLinda Rose Genaway, age 51 of Friendsville passed away Thursday, July 11, 2024. MyLinda was a truck driver for many years traveling to 48 states across the US highways. She loved her family above all else especially spending time with family gatherings and vacations and capturing those moments with family pictures. She always made the time to spend one on one with her children and especially her grandchildren. MyLinda was a longtime bus driver with Blount County Schools and loved her pet Great Danes, Marley and Sansa. She was a former member of Sycamore Tree United Methodist Church. MyLinda was a loving and devoted Mother, Grammie and friend who will be deeply missed by those who knew her. Preceded in death by her mother and grandmother. Survived by her children, Joslynn Duren and fiancé, Andrew Marusa, Avery Nelson, Jesse Bohanan, Madison Genaway, Emma-Leigh Genaway, and Jennifer Genaway; grandchildren, Christian Marusa, Kyleigh Marusa, Akiralynn Latham, and Mazie Marusa; father, Virgil Duren; and many nieces, nephews, and other family also survive. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 27, 2024 from 12:00 until 2:00 PM in the Smith Trinity Chapel with a celebration of MyLinda’s life to follow at 2:00 PM.
