Christopher N. Houser (November 12, 1961 – May 24, 2022). Chris passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family after a 9 year battle with cancer. Chris grew up in Clinton, TN & was a graduate of Clinton High School in 1980. Chris was a graduate of Tennessee Technological University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Business Management in Dec. 1984. Chris served 31+ years in the United States Air Force with the 134th ARW TN Air National Guard as a Personnel Specialist. He was a member of the Maryville Church of Christ. He was also a volunteer at William Blount High School with the softball and baseball teams as the “field guy” for 17+ years, a Little League coach in baseball, youth basketball and youth football. He enjoyed working outdoors, enjoyed long distance running in his younger years, and in more recent years hiking, particularly the Great Smoky Mtns. National Park. He was preceded in death by his father, Benny S. Houser, and brother-in-law, Timothy L. Carmical. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Donna M. (Ramsey) Houser; son, Drew Houser; daughters, Jessica Tipton and husband Jackie, and Jennifer Houser; Grandchildren, Jaxon and Jase Tipton; Mother, Jean Houser; Sister, Traci Carmical; Father & Mother-In-Law, James Ramsey and wife Bernice; Brother-In-Law, Anthony Ramsey and wife Cherry; Nieces, Lesli Waers and husband Sam, Rebekah Daniels and husband Troy; Great Nieces, Savannah & Susannah Daniels.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 3:00 P.M. at Maryville Church of Christ, Sunday May 29, 2022, with a 3:00 P.M. service to follow. Family and friends will meet at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, Tuesday May 31, 2022, for a 10:00 A.M. graveside service. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Chris may be made to the Stepping Stones Preschool, P.O.
