Milton Wittenberg passed away from this life into the presence of Jesus on October 9, 2013 at the age of 87. Born on July 18, 1926, Milton was a Veteran of the United States Navy, United States Army/Air Force serving in World War II and the Korean War. Upon discharge, he went to work as a transit operator in 1953 for the Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority in Toledo, OH, from where he retired in 2002 after 49 years of service. He was a member of Cedar Point Community Church. Preceded in death by: brother, Val Wittenberg of Lambertville, MI and Gent Wittenberg of Bella Vista, AR. Survivors include: sister, Lorraine Harbaugh of Greenback, TN; brothers & sisters-in-law, Marshall & Joan Wittenberg of Wilmington, DE and Erwin & Joann Wittenberg of San Jose, CA; special nephew, Scott Harbaugh and wife Beverly; great niece, Bailey; great nephew, Jensen; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM, Sunday, October 13, 2013 at Cedar Point Community Church. Family and friends will assemble at 11:30 AM, Monday, October 14, 2013 at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery on John Sevier Highway for the interment.
