Mildred G. Tipton, Owner of Mildred G. Tipton Real Estate, died July 2, 2008 at Ft. Sanders Hospital, Knoxville, TN. Mildred was active in the Blount County Realtors Association until her death and was also a member of Everett Hills Baptist Church and a 50+ year member of the Martha Washington Chapter 231 Order of the Eastern Star, Rockford, TN. Preceded in death by: Husband, Lawson B. Tipton; Mother, Laura Hurst Garner Becker; Father, Thomas Daniel Garner; Sisters, Esther Rollins, Hazel Carroll; Baby, Kathryn Garner; Brothers, Herman Garner and Stanley Garner. Survivors include: Daughter, Gail Tipton Jones Valentine; Grandson, Kevin Lawson and wife Angela Jones; Granddaughter, Julie Marie & husband Joe Hylwa; Great-Grandchildren, Erica Bradburn, Jason Bradburn, Casimira Marie Hylwa, Joseph Ty Hylwa; Financial Advisor, Gary A. Jones and many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:30 PM, Saturday, July 5, 2008 at Smith Trinity Chapel with service at 7:30 PM with Rev. Chad Riddle officiating.
