Mike Edward Travis “Eddie�? age 34 of Rockford passed away Friday, January 8, 2010 at his home. He was preceded in death by his PawPaw, Mike Travis; Nanny, Mary Travis; father, James Wood; friend, Tim Johnson. Survivors include his mother, Elaine Kidd and fiancé, Kim Spires; sisters, Christy Hardin and Frances Garland; nieces and nephews, Michael Travis, Ariel Clabough, Caitlin Clabough, Samuel, Rachel, and Hannah Garland; aunts and uncles, Marie King and Willam Tredway, David Travis, Roger Travis and Kathy Jackson, Robert “Bobby�? and Melba Travis, and Johnny Travis; special cousins, Joey Lawson (DoeDoe), Daniel and Jennifer Lawson; special pals, Keebler and Shawn; daughter in his heart, MacKenzie Connors. Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 13, 2010 in the Smith West Chapel with Josh Byrd officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to Smith Mortuary to help with funeral expenses. The Family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the West Chapel of Smith Funeral & Cremation Service.
