Midas Lambdin, age 95, of Maryville passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2007, at Colonial Hills Health Care Center. He was a member of Monte Vista Baptist Church. He retired from Alcoa after 39 years of service, including seven years with Alcoa in Australia. He was born and raised in Union County, Tennessee. He graduated from high school at Lincoln Memorial Academy and attended three years of college at Lincoln Memorial University before joining Alcoa in 1937. He graduated from University of Tennessee in 1963. Preceded in death by: father and mother, Foraker and Minnie Bell Lambdin. Survivors include: wife, Eleanor Robbins Lambdin of 49 years; son and daughter-in-law, Gerald and Debbie Lambdin of Maryville; daughter, Donna Lambdin of Louisville; granddaughter, Lee Ann Lambdin; special friend, Dan Herr of Louisville; brothers, Glenn Lambdin of Alcoa, Gaylord Lambdin of Maryville, and Foraker (Buck) Lambdin and wife Jean of Alcoa; sisters, Rowena Hamilton of Alcoa and Lucille Taylor of Alcoa; several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will assemble for graveside service and entombment at Grandview Mausoleum at 1:15 P.M., Saturday, August 4, 2007, with Rev. Bob Dalton officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: The Lambdin Scholarship Fund at Lincoln Memorial University, 6965 Cumberland Gap Parkway, Harrogate, TN 37752-2001 or to Monte Vista Baptist Church, 1735 Old Niles Ferry Road, Maryville, TN 37803. Family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:00 P.M., Saturday, August 4, 2007, at Smith Trinity Chapel.
