On the early morning of Thursday, December the 7th, Michelle Ann McDougall, 64, was called home to join her eternal father in heaven. To those who knew and loved her best, she was known as Micki. She passed peacefully in her beloved home in Townsend, Tennessee just before dawn, surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with illness.
Micki is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Jim McDougall, her son Matthew McDougall and partner Gwyn Allison of Nashville, Tennessee, her son Noah McDougall and his wife Alice McDougall of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. She is survived by her mother, Char Townsley, brothers Brian Blodgett, Joe Blodgett, James Blodgett and sister, Sue Kessel.
Micki McDougall was born on May 26th, 1959 in Davenport Iowa. She’s best known and loved for her artwork, creating a unique and vibrant style known as “Micki’d” that reflected her likewise unique and vivacious spirit. A lover of craft fairs and stores alike, she shared her passion with friends and neighbors alike and a well-loved pillar of her community. For two years, Micki worked directly with Heritage Middle School with special needs classes and directly with a student to help him flourish and succeed. Every night, with a heavy heart, she wished only that she could do even more.
While Micki will be missed by all, her family has comfort knowing she is at peace and will move forward, remembering her motto: “Imagine the beauty of imperfection.”
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 pm with a memorial service to follow at 7:00 pm at Smith Funeral & Cremation Service on Thursday, the 14th of December, 2023
