Michael Lynn Lane

Michael Lynn Lane, age 64 of Maryville, passed away Monday, October 10, 2022, at 9:57 a.m.  He was a devoted and loving husband, father, papaw, uncle, cousin and brother. He was a dear friend and mentor to many. His love for the Lord was the anchor that held him throughout the journeys of life. He was an ever humble, selfless, and giving man, always striving to bring laughter and peace to those around him. The joy in his heart was a shining beacon to all who knew him. Mike was a song writer and worship leader for twenty plus years; an avid fisherman who loved the Tennessee Vols, breakfasts in the Smoky Mountains, gospel music, his ever-growing family, but most of all- Jesus. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Lois Lane; brother, Gordon Lane. He is survived by his wife, Yvonne “Vonnie” Lane; sons, Andrew Lane (Megan), Bryan Lane, Ben Lane (Leah), Nathan Lane (Ashley); daughter, Elissa Lane; grandchildren, Jayden, Kinsley, Chloe, Carson, Kennedy, Blakely, Nora, Paisley, Nolan, and Davis; brother, Bruce Lane (Dolly); sisters, Kathryn Keller, Diana Clark, and Donna Millsaps (Tom); loving mother-in-law, Charlotte Huskey; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. He loved them all with his whole heart. The family will receive friends from 4:30 PM until 6:30 PM Friday, October 14, 2022 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Funeral Service will follow at 6:30 PM. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 AM for Interment Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
