Michael Alan Kestner

Michael Alan Kestner, 57 passed away Monday, September 10, 2012 after a battle with Cancer. Mike was a member of First Baptist Church and employed at Industrial Commutator Corp. He was a 1973 graduate of Porter High School, where he was a standout football and basketball player, and voted Class Wittiest, Mike attended UT-Chattanooga after a 4-year stint in the US Army. He returned to Blount County in 1979 to be near the family he loved. He was preceded in death by his father, James C. Kestner. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Rule Kestner, brothers Joel Kestner of Alcoa, Steve Kestner and wife Filiz Kestner of Knoxville, Jeff Kestner of Chattanooga, sister Lisa Tart and her husband James Tart of Maryville, and several nephews and nieces who he loved dearly. Funeral service will be Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at 7:00 PM at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Mark Martin officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Grandview Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM, Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Smith Trinity Chapel.
