Michael K. & Robbie E. Phillips

Our hearts are grieving and broken as we process the passing of Michael K. Phillips (68) and Robbie E. Phillips (65). We take comfort knowing that they are experiencing fullness of joy in our Heavenly Father’s presence. They left a legacy of faith in Jesus and generously loved their family, friends, and community. Mike and Robbie met in high school in Waverly, Tennessee and were happily married for 43 years. They owned Royal Travel in Maryville, TN where they took great care of their clients and enjoyed traveling the world together. Mike and Robbie faithfully partnered with Foothills Church to love people, whether it was helping students at Rockford Elementary School or volunteering with their small group in the community. They were the best Gigi and Popi to their grandchildren and will be missed greatly. Mike and Robbie were survived by their children: Kali Hanson (Kevin), Caroline Fortenberry (Paul), and Tait Phillips and their six grandchildren: Kinley Hanson, Korbin Hanson, Markel Fortenberry, Kiyana Fortenberry, Owen Fortenberry, and Levi Fortenberry. Mike is also survived by his brother Barry Phillips (Amy) and Robbie is survived by her brothers Joe Ellen (Susan) and Harold Ellen (Jewel). Mike was also survived by his mother Alice Phillips and his Aunt Judy Burrow. They were preceded in death by their parents Paul Phillips, Zane Ellen, and Rosemary Ellen and Robbie’s brother Archie Ellen.
