Mayme L. Purkey

Mayme L. Roberson Purkey age 88 of Maryville passed away Monday, December 19, 2011 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a longtime member of Zion’s Chapel and was recently attending Laurel Bank with her son & daughter-in-law. Mayme was a 50 year member of Eastern Star. She enjoyed her many friends at Morningview Village. She was looking forward to her reunion in Heaven with her loved ones. Preceded in death by: Husband, Horace Roberson, Jr.; 2nd Husband, James Purkey; Son, Ronald Roberson. Survivors include: Sons & Daughters-in-law, Ted & Linda Roberson and Gary & Gail Roberson; Grandchildren, Jimmy, Carrie, and Zane; Five Great-Grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM, Thursday, December 22, 2011 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Charles Bailey and Rev. Jim Malone officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 10:00 AM, Friday, December 23, 2011 at Zion’s Chapel Cemetery.
