Maxine Wheeler

Maxine Wheeler age 88 of Louisville passed away Saturday June 27, 2015. Maxine was a member of Broadway Baptist Church and was a previous member of Alcoa Way Baptist Church. She was very active in mission work and children ministries. She was preceded in death by her husband John H. Wheeler, brothers J.W., Ross and Glen Dyke, Sister Pauline Dyke. Survivors include son Tom Wheeler, daughter Pat Poole, grandchildren Jordan Poole and Jana Varvaro, sisters-in-law Evelyn Dyke, Romancy Lampkin, Bobbie Wheeler, as well as several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Dr. Daniel Cox, UT Hospice and the nurses of Beverly Park Place. Funeral service will be at 7:00 pm Tuesday June 30, 2015 in the West Chapel of Smith Funeral & Cremation Service with Rev. Tony Collins officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 am Wednesday July 1, 2015 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to UT Hospice or a charity of your choice.
