Maxiene Estes Stinnett age 82 of Alcoa, passed away Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Central Baptist Church of Alcoa. Maxiene was the 1st Certified Female Police Officer in Blount County, the 1st female to graduate from the Tennessee Police Academy in Donelson, TN, and a member of the F.O.P. #9. She retired in 1993 from Blount County Sheriff's Department. Preceded in death by: Husband, Wilford V. "Bud" Stinnett; Brothers, Austin & Arthur Estes; Sister, Joan Mezo. Survivors include: Sons & Daughters-in-law, Terry & Barbara Stinnett of Seymour and Larry & Hattie Stinnett of Alcoa; Daughter & Son-in-law, Karen & Billy Click of Maryville; Grandchildren, Tammy, Robin, Shantila, Jennifer, Angela, Brittany, Holly, Cheyenne, Hunter & Luke; Great-Grandchildren, Treyson, Branson, Alexis, Gage, Landon, Houston, Jonathan, & Morgan; Brother, James I. Estes; Sisters, Martha E. Willhite, Irene E. Horton, and Marguriette Larkin; 2 Aunts of Illinois; a special friend, Mary Stroud; Special friends, Barney & Mary Sue Lowe, Della Montgomery, and Margaret Cardin; a host of many other friends, nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Sunday, June 6, 2010 at Central Baptist Church Alcoa with Rev. George Gilbert officiating. Entombment will follow at Sherwood Mausoleum Chapel.
