Maurice E. Conatser age 96 of Townsend, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2016 in Etowah, TN. He retired from the Department of Agriculture REA Division. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp as a Staff Sergeant serving and fighting in 3 military campaign theaters during World War II. He loved his country, family, and his property in Townsend. Preceded in death by: Six Brother and One Sister. Survivors include: Wife of 67 years, Mary Conatser; Sons & Daughters-in-law, Ron & Rebecca Conatser of Cumming, GA and Roger & Maria Conatser of Franklin, TN; Daughter, Donna Marie & husband Harold Riley of Durand, MI; Six Grandchildren; Seven Great-Grandchildren and one on the way; Sister, Nancy Goodwin of Cummings, GA. Family and friends will assemble for graveside service and interment at 3:00 PM, Sunday, June 12, 2016 at Grandview Cemetery.
