Mattie J. Ownby Pass age 78 of Maryville, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2011. She was a member of Grandview Baptist Church and retired from Alcoa Aluminum Co. She was preceded in death by her sister, Stella Clabo; parents, Baus & Mittie Whaley Ownby; grandparents, Russell & Appie Whaley, Newton & Polly Ownby. Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Paul H. Pass; sons & daughters-in-law, Tony & Cheryl Pass, Jeff & Sheila Pass, Chris & Cydney Pass; grandchildren & spouses, Chanda & Danny McCampbell, Tony & Tiffany Pass, Rusty & Lisa Pass, Christopher & Amy Pass, Jeffery Pass II; great-grandchildren, Dachanna McCampbell, Caitlyn McCampbell, Catherine Pass, Lauren Peters and Logan Pass; brother, Euel Ownby; sisters, Edna Hatcher, Eva Myers, Agnes Hatcher and Doris Weatherholt. Funeral service 7:30 pm, Friday, February 11, 2011 at Smith West Chapel with Pastor Terry Russell and Dr. Preston Joslin officiating. The family & friends will assemble at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Valley View Baptist Church Cemetery for the interment.
