Matthew Anderson Cowan

Matthew “M.A.” Cowan age 96 of Maryville passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a Veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II. He retired from Alcoa and was a member of their 25 Year Club. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother who will be deeply missed. Preceded in death by: Parents, Roy & Elizabeth Cowan; Wife, Betty Jane Cowan; Brothers, Leroy, Gene, and Hugh Cowan. Survivors include: Son & Daughter-in-law, Dennis & Shirley Cowan of Maryville; Son, Gary Cowan of Alcoa; Grandchildren, Matthew & Heather Cowan of Hermitage, TN and Travis & Jennifer Cowan of Moss, TN.
