Mary Ruth Walker

Mary Ruth Walker went to be with our Lord on June 9, 2017. She retired from BTR and was a member of Old Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting, going to Mountain Creek Quilt Shop, and attending the Blue Grass performances at Rocky Branch Community Club. Preceded in death by: Husband, Gary L. Walker, Sr.; Father, Cecil Patty; Mother, Mary Belle Patty; Father-in-law, William Walker; Mother-in-law, Ann Walker; Brother, John Patty; Sister, Cecilia Ann Patty. Survivors include: Son, Gary L. Walker Jr. & wife Heather; Brothers, Arnold Patty and Don Patty; Sisters, Barbara Ogle, Caroline Bradburn, Kay Gentry, and Dorothy Knouff; Brothers-in-law and Sisters-in-law, Bill & Teri Walker, Paul & Wanda Walker, Pat & Bill Eggers, Janice & Jim Mooney, Donna Walker, and Christine Patty; many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM with Rev. Rex Everett and Bro. Charles Murrell officiating. Family and friends will assemble for interment at Hillcrest Baptist Church Cemetery.
