Mary Elizabeth Todd

Mary Hughes-Todd, 95, of Maryville, TN, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving children and her little companion, Lady Bug on Sunday, February 7, 2016. She was preceded in death by her daughter Mary Jo Baecker and husband Carmack Hughes. She is survived by her daughter Ginger Hughes of Maryville, TN and loving friend, Ed Sandoval of Jacksonville, FL; her son H.L. (Buddy) Hughes & wife Ann of Townsend, TN; her sister, Lillian Perkins, niece, Belle Faye Carroll and Dan Baldwin and great-niece, Renee Baldwin, of Memphis, TN; two grandchildren, Tracie Hogan & husband, Michael of Maryville, TN, Dean Hughes & wife Linda of Memphis, TN; seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. A special thank you from the family to Mother’s long-time care giver, Kelly Overholt. We will always cherish the memories of her heart-felt care and devotion to our mother. We would also like to thank the nursing staff of Blount Memorial Hospice. Family will receive friends at Smith Funeral & Cremation Service in Maryville on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 from 5:00 to 6:00 PM. Family and friends will assemble for graveside service and interment 2:00 PM CST, Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at Memorial Park, Memphis, TN.
