Mary Ruth Swaney

Mary Ruth Swaney age 70 of Maryville passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She attended Alleghany Baptist Church and Butterfly Gap Baptist Church. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who will be deeply missed. Preceded in death by: Parents, Ray & Mary Carver Blair; Son, Edward “Eddie” Swaney; Granddaughter, Heather Dawn Swaney; Brothers, Jimmy Blair, J.D. Blair, Billy Gene Blair, and Ray Blair Jr.; Sister, Bernice Anderson. Survivors include: Husband, Walter Swaney; Son & Daughter-in-law, James Robert “Bobby” & Janet Swaney of Maryville; Daughter & Son-in-law, Deborah J. & Michael Myers of Maryville; Grandchildren, Hunter Swaney and Michelle L. Myers; Brothers & Sisters-in-law, Tommy & Frances Blair of Maryville and Johnny & Ellen Blair of Maryville; Sisters & Brother-in-law, Jeanette & Everett McCarter and Jessie Stewart; many nieces, nephews, and other family also survive. Family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM, Friday, August 26, 2016 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM with Rev. Quinton Barber officiating.
