Mary Magdalene Hyatt Perry, age 92 of Knoxville and Maryville, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2009 at Blount Memorial Transitional Care Center. Born on August 11, 1916 in Bryson City, North Carolina. She was a member of Lake Hills Presbyterian Church of Knoxville, a former member of Church Street Methodist Church, a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, PTA Groups and Garden Clubs. Preceded in death by: Husband, C. Reginald Perry; Son, William Moody Perry; Parents, Ute Americus Hyatt and Mary Allison Hyatt; Brothers, Abel Allison Hyatt and Moody Birch Hyatt; Sisters, Thelma Hyatt Ensley and Irene Hyatt Goodhue. Survivors include: Son, Reginald Hyatt Perry of Alexandria, VA; Son and daughter-in-law, James Allison and Jackie Perry of Corryton, TN; Daughter-in-law, Frieda Young Perry of Winston Salem; Grandson, Alexander Hyatt Perry of Ocean Springs, MS; Extended family: Harriet MacGill Perry of MS, Krystyna Skalski of NY; Frances Cumiskey of NY; many close friends, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Funeral service will be at 10:30 AM, Saturday, May 30, 2009 at Lake Hills Presbyterian Church, Knoxville with Rev. James McTyre officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Instead of flowers, gifts to selected charities are listed on the Smith website. Family will receive friends from 5:30 until 7:30 PM, Friday, May 29, 2009 at Smith Trinity Chapel.
