Mary Alice Palmer

Mary Alice Palmer age 68, entered into glory with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 5, 2011. She was a faithful member of the Maryville Church of Christ. Mary Alice was a devoted, loving mother and wife who loved the Lord with all her heart. She dedicated most of her life caring for others as a nurse. Her life exemplified the beautiful heart of a servant. Preceded in death by parents Glen and Lillie Smelcer; brother, Charles Smelcer. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Jerry Palmer; daughters and sons-in-law, Jan and Lee Allen, Kasey and Greg Cable; precious grandchildren, Joshua and Hannah Allen and Sydney and Cameron Cable; loving sister, Dorothy Laux; special nieces Rhonda Wood, Kim Irvin, Andrea Beaird, Tammie Crick; nephew, Scott Smelcer. The family would like to express special gratitude to Anna Mae Price, her devoted caregiver. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Stepping Stones Preschool at the Maryville Church of Christ. Family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Monday, February 7, 2011 in the Smith Trinity Chapel with a celebration of her life at 6:30 p.m. Family and friends will assemble at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at Magnolia Cemetery for the interment.
