Mary Jane Miller

Mary Jane Tedford Miller age 90 of Maryville went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a lifetime member of Maryville First Baptist Church. Mary Jane was a graduate of Maryville College and taught at Clinton, Friendsville, and Everett High Schools. She was a member of the Alpha Delta Kappa Teaching Sorority. She retired from Heritage High School where she was an English School Teacher for many years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother who will be deeply missed by those who knew her. Preceded in death by: Husband, Edgar Miller; Sister, Helen Lawson; Son-in-law, Rodney Jones. Survivors include: Son & Daughter-in-law, James & Kathy Miller of Ashville, NC; Daughter, Marilyn S. Miller Jones of Alcoa; Grandchildren, Jenifer Miller of Ashville, NC and Jared Miller, U.S. Army in Ft. Leavenworth, KS; Great-Grandchildren, Brooke & Caitlynn Pacheco. Family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 PM, Sunday, January 17, 2016 with funeral service at 4:00 PM, at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Charles Ballard officiating.
